It was a very nice day, and we were out there for more than an hour.

In the evening, we proceeded to Germaine's Luau, so here are some sunset pics on the beach...

As for the luau itself ... the food was very mediocre, and not terribly Hawaiian in nature. They did roast a pig, but it was pretty flavorless. The "all you can eat" buffet ran out of food about 20 minutes after the first serving.

The dinner show was reasonably entertaining and had its high points, but it could have been considerably more authentic. No tiki torches (!?), and parts of the show included "traditional" black lights and strobe lights. Yeah...

I guess we should've done some background research on this outfit since nobody else
seemed to really think very highly of Germaine's Luau, either.

On the way to the luau, our bus tour guide was obnoxious and condescending...

The best part of the night was when we were going to leave and Katya insisted we "jump ship"
and totally ditched them for another bus with much nicer seeming tour guide, Jerry.

Jerry's bus was totally fun, and he kept us well entertained the entire way home...
